P.S. My personal favourite is the Company Girl which you can try at Shaker & Company
Everyone knows the importance of social media in today’s market as a tool for connecting to prospective customers. While the traditional approach simply aims for Facebook ‘likes’ , YouTube ‘subscribers’ and Twitter ‘followers’, achieving high numbers of followers, while impressive, is useless if that audience is not engaged.
The key to a long-term, successful relationship is the consistent delivery of value above and beyond the expectations of the customer. This can be achieved by thrilling the consumer with exclusive content.
Thrill Your Customer:
Exclusive initiatives for your online community:
- Create the atmosphere of a “members’ club” within your online fanbase/following, where subscribers have the opportunity to preview and hear about products before they are launched in-store
- Provide web chat workshops with industry professionals, respected bloggers offering tips and tricks for creating great looks with cosmetics, exclusive to your online community
- Online Q&As with brand experts in skin, hair, colour etc
- Online Q&As with celebrity advocates on how they achieve their looks, their skincare regimes etc
- Bring the store to the consumer and create new opportunities for purchase
Additionally, give consumers a reason to go offline, where they can touch and experience the product (while online shopping is booming, 35% of women prefer to go to the shops where they can see and try out products)
Initiatives to drive/retain customers in-store:
- Offer customers something in-store they cannot get virtually e.g. a massage/makeover with purchase
- Invite customers to come back for a one-to-one to re-evaluate the efficacy of their skincare regime products
- Send consumers samples along with a reason to go into stores e.g. to buy limited edition or exclusive products which are not available online
Zara Home is my new found love, I am obsessed. I’m equally obsessed with lanterns, so when I saw this stunning Arabesque lantern I couldn’t be happier. At £33.99 it’s probably more expensive than I’d usually pay for something like this (you’ll find me in TK Maxx getting in on the bargains) but I can’t say I wouldn’t be tempted.
After more homewear browsing I stumbled across this sweet floral set of 4 drawers. I’m always in need of more storage, and when it’s as pretty as this it’s kind of the real deal. They’re £45 from Next, which is not bad at all for a set of drawers. Perfect size for product storage and bits and bobs.
So I thought I should probably introduce myself, my name is Phoebe, I’m 21 years old and currently living in a little town in North Hampshire. I battle the daily commute to London with the men in suits to my (freelance/contractor) job at BarChick. I run all things social media as well as some admin shizz which I won’t bore you with now (although it’s pretty fun). I graduated last year after studying a degree in Journalism and English Language. I’m still desperately missing the uni lifestyle, watching daytime TV, eating pasta for dinner every night and casually missing lectures for the sake of sleep. Bliss.
I just started this blog as I’m constantly reading other people’s and thinking how I would spin it, so I decided to take a shot at it. So far it’s just really addictive and am posting like 5 times a day, GO ME! So yes this is my outlet to share all my awesome new beauty finds, bargain buys and lifestyle chat.
So up until a week ago I was subscribed to Birchbox. Don’t get me wrong I loved it but there’s only so many samples I can fit in my storage boxes so I had to say goodbye. ANYWAY, it just so happens that in my last box I received a sample size Urban Veda Radiance Exfoliating Facial Polish. I love a good exfoliator and had just run out of my budget-buy fave (St Ives Blemish Scrub) so I gave this one ago, and OH MY GOD it was insane. It’s such a gentle exfoliator but really effective, some have a habit of leaving my skin red and feeling tight, not this one! It also has a beautiful smell that lasts a little while after use. I’m so glad that I’ve been introduced to this range and will definitely be buying it in full size. I may try out the other products in this range because the Tumeric & Botanics scent is just stunning. Super affordable too. All-rounder.
Pay day is just about in sight so obviously I’ve started mentally spending my money before it’s even reached my account! Check out what I’ll be purchasing as soon as that beautiful day comes:
I’ve lusted after Jo Malone products for long enough now, it’s about time to take the plunge and get in on it. I’ve always been tempted by the Pomegranate Noir cologne but just couldn’t justify the price. However whilst in a meeting recently I couldn’t help but ask the lady I was chatting with what perfume she was wearing, she smelt amaaazing – and what do ya know it was god damn Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir! She was so surprised that I could smell the fragrance as she had applied it hours and hours before, and perfume that lasts all day is the BEST! I’ve gotta do it.
I’ve been on the lookout for a high quality organiser that’s actually pretty (and not a gazillion pounds). I don’t want a plain black or brown standard notepad, they’re just so …meh. I love the Mulberry and Kate Spade organisers but considering the health of my bank balance I guess I should settle for something a little less extravagant. I like the look of the Filofax Finsbury Organiser in Raspberry but am looking for something a little more bold – any ideas?
Great quality, comfortable boots that will never go out of fashion, I’ve already started planning what I would wear with these. They’ve been on my radar for some time, and if I’m gonna buy them it’s gotta be soon as to get the most wear out of them before summer arrives and the sandals come out (hopefully). It’s happening.
They are just so cool! Such a statement piece in any room and something I genuinely think I would get a lot of use out of. Duck egg blue is my favourite but the red is just such a classic?! Decisions, decisions.
